Texas roots.
Born in Texas on July 5, 1958, Stephen Pinkston grew up in a family that valued perseverance, hard work, and service to others. Personal experience with family health challenges planted an early interest in medicine that would eventually lead him toward orthopedic surgery — a field where science, precision, and a person's ability to move through their own life meet.
From Austin to Houston.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Texas at Austin, then went on to Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. His surgical training took him through major Texas medical institutions, including high-volume trauma environments, where he built the foundation for a career spent restoring mobility to patients from every walk of life.

Away from the clinic, Dr. Pinkston's life looks a lot like anyone else's — time outdoors, travel, and the company of a very good dog. It's part of the same patient-first, people-first outlook that's followed him through more than thirty years of medicine.
